McLean & Schultz: Structural Engineering & Architecture

This project consisted of two 4-span bridges supporting heavy rail traffic over Lemon Street for the BNSF and Union Pacific Railroads.  The 154 feet long superstructure for both railroad bridges are precast prestressed box girders supported on seat type abutments and four column bents.

McLean & Schultz achieved the aesthetic requirements of the Spanish theme for the City of Fullerton by incorporating a heavy post and beam design into the bridge members.  Additional architectural details such as bush hammered column finishes and color stained concrete railing were also specified.
