McLean & Schultz: Structural Engineering & Architecture

SIERRA MADRE VILLA – This is One of the at-grade stations in the median of the SR-210.  The architectural theme of the access towers were selected to accentuate the nearby historical Stuart Company Building.  The 40 feet high steel towers are partially enclosed by perforated steel panels, especially selected to provide a wall effect while providing visual transparency. McLean & Schultz also provided the design of the Pedestrian Overcrossing spanning the SR-210 main lines and Sierra Madre Street off ramp, connecting the station with a new 1,000 car four story parking structure.
ALLEN AVENUE - This is one of three stations located in the median of SR-210.  The station is a cut and cover box adjacent to the Allen Avenue Underpass bridge west abutment.  The Station entrance access is from Allen Avenue at street level below the freeway through an opening in the bridge abutment.  Stair and elevator access extend through the box cover onto the station platform.  The canopies are standardized freeway canopies.
LAKE AVENUE – This is a light rail aerial station with a loading platform within the Pasadena Freeway (SR-210) median and under the Lake Avenue Bridge Overcrossing.  The station has two towers with mezzanines located on each side of the bridge to provide passenger access with stairs and elevators to the station loading platforms below.
